Intelligent motion detectionThe Secvest wireless motion detector responds to moving body heat within its detection range and reports this to the Secvest wireless alarm system. The detector is not sensitive to small animals, and therefore differentiates between a person and a pet. While the heat fields from a person moving in the room are reliably detected, the detector ignores pets weighing up to 30 kg. Despite being "pet-proof up to 30 kg", however, on occasion the detector may sense pets that weighing less than this amount, triggering a message to the alarm panel. The risk of a false alarm in this case is especially high if the animal moves, jumps or flies very close to the detector. Detector featuresThe angle of view of the wireless motion detector is 90°, and its detection range – depending on installation height – is up to 10 metres. It is also equipped for detection within a creep zone, which prevents persons from avoiding detection by crawling underneath the detector.
