The technology of the future
In the network-based or IP video surveillance, existing network connections can be used for transmitting video signals. The cameras compress the video signal and transmit it via the network (LAN or WLAN). The data is saved to the PC or network recorder which is connected, then decompressed and transmitted to the monitor for display. The great benefit: The compression means that large amounts of video image data can be transmitted in high resolution because the cameras in the ABUS IP range are equipped with high resolution image sensors that provide up to 2 megapixels. This guarantees optimum picture sharpness and detailed images. IP systems can also be connected in a network via Wi-Fi. Another benefit of IP video surveillance is the option of accessing from any location. Authorised persons can access stored image data remotely at any time.
