The Secvest 2WAY wireless outdoor siren is an accessory for the Secvest 2WAY. This professional signalling unit is the critical element of a completely functioning wireless alarm chain. The wireless outside siren with flashing LED strip is a combination signalling unit. In the event of an alarm, the siren generates a very loud signal tone with 105 dB of sound pressure. The duration of the alarm sirens (3 or 15 minutes) can be regulated via a jumper. In addition to the acoustic safeguard, there is a visual alarm by means of a red LED strip (flashing frequency 1 Hz), which can be positioned on the top or bottom of the siren. The flashing light and siren are controlled separately. This means that the flashing light can continue flashing, whereas the signal tone ends after a predefined time. The siren and the Secvest communicate with each other on 868.6625 MHz, a radio frequency specially reserved for security purpose. The range is 100 meters. The wireless outside siren is protected against sabotage via a tamper switch and a seal contact. In the event of sabotage, the wireless outside siren automatically sounds or it forwards the sabotage message to the Secvest 2WAY alarm panel. Depending on the programming, the alarm panel then issues the command for activating the siren. If the center is in installer mode, you can open the siren without triggering the alarm. Additional fine tuning of the siren, such as a confirmation signal when the alarm system is armed or disarmed, is done in the installer menu of the Secvest 2WAY. The wireless outside siren is powered by two 3 V alkaline batteries or a 7.2 V lithium battery. The service life of the battery is approx. 2 years. Weakening of the battery is displayed at the Secvest 2WAY alarm panel.
